The word "love" is probably the most abused word in the English language. We use it for everything." I love my dog"."I love the Movies" I love Lasagna" I love mashed potato's" " I love my new car"; " I love my sisters best friend Karen" " I also love my brothers girlfriend Mary" "I love going on vacation" and last but not least, "I love my Mom and Dad". Thank about it, does "love" mean the same thing for all of the above and more? Yes. It is possible that we say "I love you" too much. There are other ways of expressing "love' for a person. ACTION speaks louder than words.

YES, because my niece does that and after awhile it starts to creep me out. I know, I know... she's a kid and kids are weird but she'll say it like every 3 minutes and I just get to the point where I want to be like "I love you too, and I'll love you 2 seconds from now and 5 minutes and 25 years, so you don't need to keep checking!"

Love may not wear out to some, but the phrase does.

If you say it too much, I think it loses its meaning.

I think so yes. It becomes nothing but a habit and a stop-word if one uses it too often.

Mm, doubt it.

Unless you're sitting in one spot just saying it over and over for hours on end without giving it meaning.
