The US becomes super isolationist as it was before the 1st war or goes nuts and takes out as many people/nations as possible ?

the federal government would likely collapse thus turning the former united states into 50 republics.
it would suck ofcourse but it wouldnt be as bad as the soviet collapse mainly because the economic infrastructure is still in place while the soviet economic order was WAY WAY different than what the Russian federation adopted.

Not a chance and you have larger issues to worry about. I agree that you need to study your history more.
But lets deal with something even more terrifying. America has been changing in technology and other areas as time goes on...that's a given and normal...But how about the standing of society ?
Look at what happened to Jerry Lee Lewis for instance. He married someone too young and whom was a relative and society in general shunned him for it. That sense of society standing up for good character and morale is pretty much a thing of the past. People walk around thinking truth is relative, that they don't or shouldn't get involved, there is no concerted effort in one direction to make this a great nation any more.
You have 3rd parties in politics that have little chance of getting elected, then you have conservatives whom seems to be the less of 2 evils because the liberal / democrats mostly want to enslave people under Government policy and programs under the guise of helping out. But from history we know where all thier socialist programs have ended up and the destruction its brought. They keep preaching weakness and victimology. If the USA even had a chance to callapse, it would be due to the today's citizen's lacking in education, lacking knowledge of history, lacking standards, bravery to stand up for what is right and giving in to the political correctness of international pressure.

Riots!!!!
Super angry Americans rioting on the street looking for International Corporate geeks to choke, and most of them will have guns.
Airports will be overcrowded with international folks fleeing the US
Airports will be overcrowded with dual Citizenship folks
US military will use the Air force to move rich folks away from the riots
When Americans are angry they tend to be very angry! Keep pushing because we are almost there with the support of the International Corporations ( Exxon and Pharmaceutical )
