I think it's very important to vote in both the primary and the general elections. If you're over 65 or in poor health, my state, SC will allow you to cast absentee ballots so there's really no excuse to not vote. With the closeness of recent elections every vote counts whether you believe it or not. Some people say it's crooked but the more voters that turn out, the less chance there is of that being true.

More important than ever...nobody seems to know how to get out of this messy war except Senator Biden and the polls never mention him. I listened to Ron Paul yesterday on Glenn Beck and I like him. He may not look presidential to me but he makes a lot of sense and I can now understand why so many like him. I do believe that Huckerbee has peaked and Romney will top the ticket. On the Dems I have a feeling that Clinton and Obana will wash each other out and someone else will surface. But yes...it is important to vote. Had we all done so last time around things would be a lot different now. We wouldn't be at war for one. I never could understand why Washington never focused on this sub prime fiasco...I saw that coming a long time ago. There is a whole generation out there that has never known want. there will be a lot more financial problems before this is over. Pray we don't have an unemployment thing next. It's still possible and the economy would be in a real fix.

I think it is extremely important. We have enormous problems facing us as a nation. We need to get the very best people to represent us. I have been following the candidates as closely as I can and hope to make an informed choice next year. So far I am leaning towards Bill Richardson. I have been looking at the voting records of the Senators and Congressmen from my state and have decided not to vote for them for another term.

I vote and encourage other to vote also. The last election I couldn't vote for Bush or Kerry. And there are times I wish I had voted for Gore. We don't EVER again need the President and Congress in the same party. Maybe in the past politicians were honest enough for this, but not any more. But it is very important to try to weed out the BS and vote.

Yes, I will vote! I think every election is extremely important, but we are facing some unprecedented problems in our country, and in the world, today. I will encourage young people to become as informed as possible about the issues and the candidates, and THEN I hope they will vote!

I vote at every election. But I am getting tired of the choices we have. It would appear that very little difference separates the candidates from each other. But Dr. Ron Paul of Texas will get my vote no matter what. His platform is closer to my ideals then any of the others. And I say this even if he is not the chosen one to represent the Republican Party. I might just write his name in.
It is not a wasted vote. Its a choice.

I have been there, done that.. and I will continue to vote! I also feel that it's important to research all the candidates, not just the one you think you agree with. I'm the one in our family who reminds everyone to get out and vote.

I think this will be one of the most important elections in our history.
We must elect a person who can repair the damage done by Bush and Co...to our country, our society, our Constitution. One who can repair the damage done to our reputation and to the destruction of our relationship with the rest of the world.
We got Bush for president because too many Americans sat on their butts and didn't vote....we MUST get out this time. It's going to take ALL of us a long, long time to become a strong and vital nation again...we simply must have a competent leader.

Anyone who lives in this country and who is of voting
age, has the RESPONSIBILITY to participate in this (and every)
election that comes up.
To not participate in your government means you should not receive any of the
benefits nor should you gripe
about anything you don't like.
You live here, it's your responsibility. Now I would
advise you to inform yourself
on who exactly would make
the best President of these
United States, Or move to
another country where they
don't have free elections and
someone will just tell you what to do.
