I know it's supposed to be a time for everyone to be happy, but sometimes it doesn't work out that way

I always get a little sad on Christmas because it is over and because there are so many people we've lost who are no longer with us to celebrate.

Christmas makes me happy. New Years makes me a little sad. It is a start and an ending, but it seems more like an ending to me. I'll begin to feel better around the middle of January when things begin seeming more like normal and I can start the year anew. Anyway, I do hope that you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Christmas can make me either happy or sad, depending on how it goes and who I spend it with, but New Year always makes me feel a little sad; sad that another year has gone by and sad for all the friends I have gone another year without seeing.

If I have to work during the holidays then sad if not then happy as a jaybird enjoying the company of good friends and family time.

Both for me , I enjoy all the festivities and that makes me happy . But them I remember some of the great Christmases of the past and those loved ones no longer with us and that makes me sad
But I wish everybody a great Christmas . !!

Mixed. Family all far away, friends here. Family communicates little, and they are missed. Will be with kind friends tonight and tomorrow, but still.... I do need always to remember and be glad for what I've got. Will be happy to get into 2008, maybe. Of course that hard cement sidewalk is looming closer, wink, wink. Well ive cried a lot of today , very emotional if you have bad memories and good friends are busy so you cant chat to them.

Sad. I can't be with the one I love for Xmas and New Year, I have no family, and I refuse to spoil my friends' Xmas by intruding on their family time - so it's me, a G&T, and the telly.
