It's low on power steering fluid. There's probably a leak somewhere, although there could be other problems to cause this, such as restricted reservior, faulty p/s pump, or faulty rack and pinion. If it is not low on fluid, have your mechanic look at it as these other problems may be difficult to diagnose.

could it be you got hold of some bad gas? try a gas treatment.
