Mostly my periods come on time & last 4 days max. Lately they've been getting more painful & lasting 5 or 6 days. Is this a normal thing? I can't afford to see my GYN but I guess I may have to :((

FYI I think 31 is too young for menopause although my mom had it @ 39 but I thought it was b/c she wasn't getting any.

How old are you? Your age might have something to do with it as you might be experiencing hormonal changes associated with menopause.

Consider your daily routine. Any significant changes in exercise, stress levels, diet, hormone supplements, sleep...?

Read up on endometriosis.

The normal number of days can run from 3-7 days. Because of how much pain you are in when you have them I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

i say get on birth control if you want.Umm..you could get insurance to go to the doctor.Try a heating pad or get some water and heat it up and put it in a water bottle and put it on the place that hurts.
