I rescued an alcoholic woman from a flop house. They were getting ready to keep her loaded and sell her body. I found her because some of the people in there try to make a life with no success so I feed them, cloth them etc. Well, I saw a woman with a pair of $600 eyeglasses (I knew that cause they were the same kind my ex wife used to wear) and knew something was wrong with this picture. She was very drunk. I took her to the hospital, paid for her stay, and her prescriptions. She was in pretty bad shape. She stayed in my house and dried out. I feed her, cleaned up her vomit (if you've seen Leaving Las Vegas, this was worse and I would have never believed it) She was so bad off, that she wouldn't go from room to room without having a bottle in her hand until she committed to drying out. Since then, she has dried out, been sober for quite some time (I'm proud of her) and become productive in society again. Please keep in mind that she has a college degree and had previously done well in life which was a reminder to me that this can happen to anyone. Since I rescued her, she wants us to become more involved - I can't though. My past is my reason to go on and help others now. With someone in my life, I would be unable to do so.
Last week, I gave an individual $3000 dollars for auto repairs - well, actually I went and paid for the repairs.
As soon as I finish writing this, I have to take a guy to Toys R Us or whatever store I can, to buy presents for his kids cause he can't find work. This is my life now. I don't know if these things can be considered "nicest things" but at least I had a positive influence on those whose paths I crossed. Yesterday, I went to the mall to buy a single mother a cellphone because hers had broken and she does not have a home phone. I guess these are nice things - I try do do something every day for someone. Is one nicer than the next. I would say not because I fixed a problem that needed repair. Some things are more important than others depending on the problem. All I can say is God Bless, Merry Christmas, and I hope that one day I too will be forgiven...

I was at a School Dance (we have dances, because I go to an all boys school, and that's the only time we get to see girls. lol) and there was this girl crying in a room, far away from the dance, because her dog died hours be4, so I sat with her for the entire dance (3 hours). I was rewarded though, she kissed me on the lips (SCORE, and she was very, cute, I might add. lol.) and we had one slow dance, minutes be4 the dance ended. We sat and said nothing, for 2 and half hours. So I don't mean to be narcissistic, or give the impression that the only reason I did it was because she was cute, to be honest she had her face to the wall for 30 minutes while I was there. So, that was probably it. Oh, and now, that "girl" is my girlfriend. lol. ironic, isn't it?

We are not really going to have a Christmas this year, so I did a few nice thing like give a homeless man a woolen cap to keep his ears warm (did that twice) and I gave another homeless man with a dog a pack of dog treats.
I know it isn't a lot, but it made me feel better because these people truely needed these "gifts" and they were given with my heart.

I helped a young man and his family to prevent themselves from being evicted from their apartment. I gave him a month's rent, which bought him the time he needed to replace his job.
