It would reach the centre of the earth and stop, because if it went any further it would be trying to defy gravity by trying to go up (and yes it would be upside-down if it passed the centre of the earth.)

Ever read "Journey to the Center of the Earth?" It is a story about a group of explorers who found an old passage through to the center of the earth. It is an interesting story to read. And like all fiction of stories like that, it is just that. Fiction.

Nothing can go through even the earth's crust let alone the molten core. As for gravity, if you could make it to the center, I believe it will be equalised due to the same mass all around you. As for coming through to the other side, you would not be upside down. You would just be on the opposite side of a fantastic dream!
