I think Jesus and Santa Claus are about the same....little kids pray to Santa for gifts - adults pray to Jesus for blessings. Its all about what some supernatural being can do for you....
"Christ's Mass", "Father Frost" or "Saturnalia" or "Holiday Season" is what you make it. Let people celebrate what they want...it is not a time for Christians to ram "Christmas" down the world's throat. They do not have a monoply on the winter solstice holiday.

yes. i agree that "christmas" originates from the birth of christ. Nevertheless, this popular holiday is prevalent among many people, christian, or not. Those that choose not to follow beliefs of christ have a different perspective of christmas than those that do.
In MY opinion, i do think this holiday should be focused more on religious grounds. I think many people are taking christmas for granted. However, in believing this, Christmas would be constricted to those following god, only.
Overall, the Christmas tradition is reflected upon in different ways, by different people. You cannot judge their belief as right or wrong based on religion or what not.

I will always say Merry Christmas, no matter how outdated it may get to be. Its a shame that somewhere people are listening to anything that is anti religious. They took God out of schools, and now they are even trying to take him out of Christmas! What is Christmas without the real meaning of Christmas, which is Christs birthday? Who has the right to take that away from us? How far will they go to make beleive there is no God, or to simply ignore him? Im not one of those super religious freaks, but I do beleive in God, and I certainly agree that Christ IS Christmas!

I think its just fine, considering only religious people of the faith would consider it Jesus's birth day. Which you know in reality he was not born on that day. The real reason behind it come on..
So I agree with the happy holiday , for the holiday season.
It's making the holiday what it really is, more so in today standards.

I agree with you.....maybe if we all started just celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and stopped shopping the stores would go back to using the word Christmas again just to get us back in the stores, but as we all know that will never happen!

This question and answer session has come across alot over the last few weeks....I believe we have finally gotten to where we are FINALLY realizing that CHRISTMAS is just that..........CHRISTmas.............and by golly this year seems we all fought back and let the world know.....that our right to say Merry Christmas was NOT going to be taken away......it was rather scarey there for awhile...we were letting the gov and local leaders take that 'right' away......But we as a country have bounced back once again....when backed into a corner........MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!! God Bless our troops who fight for our freedom each day...
Peace Out!!!

Jews try this for concern of taking the Lord's call in ineffective. God isn't his call nonetheless. In Hebrew, it quite is YHWH. additionally they could desire to kiss the Bible in the event that they knock it off a table and different issues because it desecrates God's call. additionally they can't make enjoyed ones issues like switches artwork on the Sabbath, yet shop lighting fixtures on or off, won't be able to flush lavatory. They tape them in the event that they have childrens so the youngsters do no longer overlook. My ultimate chum dated the two an Orthodox Jewish guy and a Messianic Jew. Debbie

I agree with you 100% . Christmas isnt the way its suppose to be. As I have gotten older it really bothers me. It really bothers me when people right xmas on cards and presents instead of Christmas. I have two children of my own I am rasing them on the true meaning of Christmas. Yes I do still buy presents for them but I dont buy them millions of toys they dont need them.

Complain loud and long.
Some of us who are not PC or religious nuts are putting KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS stickers on envelopes and present.
Happy CHRISTmas to you and yours. Also have a good holiday.
