My family keeps saying that I can't! I wear khaki dress pants, a striped dress shirt, black dress shoes, but they won't let me wear white socks with it!!!
Why is this? I don't understand.

Becuz the fashion police don't care if you get foot fungus..Wear White Pants then U can wear white sox.....
OR Wear your pants a little on the long side so when you cross your legs the illegal white sox stay well hidden and you might get away with it...OR switch to Cowboy boots and they can't see your socks and you win the war...well at least the battle... if isn't your sox look out the fashion police will find something else.....

Because they glare and really mess up the "formal" look. It is better to wear socks that are similar in color either nylon or crew depending on the shoe. White socks just don't look as good.

Most people think that white socks look bad with formal clothes, because if you wear black shoes and white socks it doesn't look right, ithink white socks are just for normal going out clothes, and black socks are for when you don't wear jeans and are going somewhere fancy.

White socks look sTuPid with proper shoes and pants. It's as simple as that. If you were my kid, I wouldn't even let you wear the khaki pants. There's no such thing as khaki dress pants.

i say if you cant SEE your socks.. what does it matter if they dont even match??????
when you introduce yourself do you say hello *lifts up pants. here is my socks.
unless you have to take off your shoes... wear what ever socks you want.
