If they say, "I am not in denial!", does that automatically prove that the are since they are denying it?

Yes. If they admit to being in denial, they aren't....or ARE they?

Denial is deceptive by nature. This means a person truly in denial does not know so. Somewhere along the journey, someone in denial knows it, but quickly looses track of reality in the light of excuse, in rationalizing the weakness, in the self preservation quest to "not look at that ugly thing going on in their life."

When in doubt, a credible and objective third party opinion becomes a handy tool.

As the saying goes, "we can run, but we cannot hide."

No. I know that you are a 85 year albino midget. If you deny it, then that means you are one using that logic. In other words sometimes people are right and sometimes they are wrong.
