In(2x) = 1
2x = e^1
By the definition of ln(a):
If ln(a) = b then a = e^b
So x = e/2 ≈1.35914

Hi,

For this question, we need to undo the natural log portion on the left hand side of the equation by raising both sides as base e. Therefore, we get:

2x = e ^1

or

2x = e

Now, we need to isolate for x alone by dividing by 2 on both sides to get:

x = e / 2 <==== FINAL ANSWER

I hope that helps you out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Sincerely,

Andrew
