The word is "drown" not "drownd." "Drowned" is the past tense, as in "Pete drowned in the lake, who was left?" NOT "Pete drownded in the lake, who was left?"

beer and vomit are things i've heard of people drowning in but you should be able to drown in anything liquid that can go down your throat
