The guy obviously deserves a long-term deal, but I'm getting nervous. What does everyone else think?

King Carl better get off his *** and get Allen signed now. I'm getting nervous myself. I can just see Carl letting Allen go, the Chiefs getting nothing in return, and then KC resigning him 8 years later when his career is basically over. Carl has done this before with Donnie Edwards and Carl loves to make the same mistake 6 or 7 times before he gets something right.

there are some teams of dire need of a good pass rusher like allen. i know allen is going to want a HUGE long term contract, and he might get pissed if KC uses the franchise tag on him. but look for teams like SF to go hard after him. bryant young is retiring and they need to replace him, plus they really need a good pass rusher and jared allen was born and raised in the bay area, and the 9ers have a lot of cap space next year. so allen might want to return home to the bay area. so im hoping the 9ers get him.
