I love fabric! I also inherited my dad's collection of Camels. I am not sure how much they cost or the value but to me they are priceless and I am thinking about continuing to add to his collection.

I collect US coins. I have all the coins currently in circulation, and after getting all of those, I focused on past issues. My oldest coin is an 1809 half cent (The US made half cent coins until 1857). That one is probably the most valuable one I have. Other coins of note in my collection are an 1847 penny (which is much larger than a modern penny), an 1865 three cent nickel, and an 1880 Morgan silver dollar. At the current time, I am working on completing my collection of Barber coins (dimes, quarters, and half dollars 1892-1916, designed by Charles Barber). I am far from completing it. It'll take me a few years. If you're into history, like I am, you'll find the hobby very interesting.

The most valuable item I own is not a part of the things I collect. I think my biggest collection is my coin collection.

I collect model trains. I have various scales from N scale(3/4" high) to G scale6-8" high and run outdoors) When I say collect I mean collect. Most people with trains have layouts that they display so people can look at them, not me I have a spare room in my basement and there 100's of boxes in there of trains that I have purchased over the years, Dam Ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Anyway I collect mainly HO scal which is about 1-1/2" high. But my most prized train is a 1928 Standard scale engine from my grandfather that was made in Germany pre war.

I collect coins and playing cards. The coins are just a lot of fun and the playing cards started when I was performing as a magician.

I collect a lot of things mostly because I inherited the intial collection from beloved relatives. I have vintage gloves, fans, tea sets, crystal, china, sterling silver, vingage and gemstone jewelry, japanese and chinese silk gowns, I could go on. I continue to add to their collections so that I can pass them on to other relatives in honor and memory of those who gave them to me. Perhaps they will enjoy them as much as I do or they will serve to provide a college education or first house for those to whom I bequeath them.
