yah several hotels and banquet halls. try the hilton or you could do it at one of the historic homes. you really should narrow it down to how much you want to spend.

Is this something you are going to advertise to attract people to come? Do you already have a proposed guest list and what age and income bracket are those names attached to? Is it aimed at families or individuals? Do you have a theme?

Any moderate to upper priced restaurant and/or hotel could probably be a good choice as most have rooms for private parties. If you have something like a sports theme, then how about a stadium or ball park...even at a college.

Years ago when my family lived in Los Angeles, the old TV show 'Hart to Hart' used to have a charity softball game every year at Pepperdine University's ball field, to benefit the American Heart Association. They had two teams of stars play, and had food vendors, autograph & photo opps for everyone, music, etc. Everyone had a great time and they raised a lot of money every year...maybe you could something like that. TV and/or radio stations against each other...cops vs firemen...one city's mayor & city council against another's.

Contact the "Make A Wish" at www.ga-al.wish.org (the state's office is in Marietta) and they might be able to do something with you, or give you some ideas.

Go to your local shopping mall with a food court. Go to the management office and show them your plan. Be sure to allow a few weeks so that the mall can tell the stores and they can get publicity. The mall will tell you which day or night is a dead time and they will jump at the chance to get a crowd. Have a written plan before going to the mall. Design a poster and show it to them. Be sure to include the mall name to get the mall on board. Once you get a date...call or visit every newspaper , radio station and TV station in the area and tell them your story. Go for it....Merry Christmas

It really depends on your budget. The Ritz in Buckhead has great conference rooms, food & service. So does 1848 house. You can also try citysearch.com for more options. Good luck & I commend you for getting involved supporting the cause!!
