Microsoft extended their warranty to 1 year for general failures and 3 years for Red Ring of Death. So yours is still covered for Red Ring of Death only considering that you bought it at launch. It usually takes for them from 2-6 weeks to fix it and send it back to you depending on where you live.

specific you may.it rather is no longer lifeless yet once you nevertheless have your guarantee than it wouldnt value you $one hundred!! right it rather is a thank you to offer up it. there is not any single reason for the RROD, yet typical consensus is overheating quite will improve your odds. shop the 360 in an open, nicely ventilated section. in case you get between the maximum recent production run 360s (those with HDMI output) they could have the Falcon chip which makes use of much less capacity and is meant to be greater proof against the RROD. some human beings assist you to be responsive to to purchase an intercooler. notwithstanding, there is a few information that those are undesirable on your 360 becaues they draw capacity without postpone from it and could mess with the capacity availability for the 360 itself. additionally, employing an intercooler will void your guarantee.

At first they weren't covered but now they are microsoft took millions of dollars in loss to implement the warranty. It takes about 5 to 6 weeks because there is such a backlog of systems there working on. Hope this helped man I hated it when it happened to mine so I know the pain lol
