I am curious as to how it works. I live in Ca. if that makes a difference (not sure). Will they give hime the equipment to set it up himself? Do they come to your home at all? My neighbor across the street who we are really good friends with is a sheriff and I don't want them to find out about it. Will he know or can we just lay low for those 6 days and hope no1 finds out. We are good people and don't do anything wrong so in my opinion the cops shouldn't come here but I don't know if it's routine. My husband chose this instead of cleaning freeways or whatever they do. Just need more info as to how everything works. Thanks to whoever can shed some light. Merry x-mas.

Holy ****! Wow never knew you people were such fricken assholes. You don't know me or him he did nothing wrong compared to all the other trash that get put on house arrest. He pleaded guilty because it was easier that way than to fight it and since he is to good to be workin on the side of a highway with the rest of the dumb asses he chose house arrest. LOL trust me whatever all the rest of you idiots have to say doesn't matter. Yeah I care what my neighbors think. I am not trash whether you like it or not. An unfortunate event happened now were are dealing with the consequence.

All the judgmental people on here I swear! "I've never broken the law..."
Oh sure, you've never rolled a stop sign, driven over the speed limit, maybe bent the rules a little on an IRS form, had a beer before you turned 21. Sorry, don't buy it. If you have a driver's license and say you haven't broken the law you are a liar for sure. Never had a drink before turning 21, that's maybe 90% of our citizens.
I don't know the answer to this woman's question but I'm not going to come on here and pretend I'm better than she is because I don't know it.

Well your husband has done something wrong... He is on house arrest! I have never broken the law, and I have never been on house arrest. Sounds like you stick your nose up in the air or past judgment on people who do have problems with the law, So that's why you are so worried about what others will think, B/c you do it all the time. Know what they say. You always see the ppl you stepped on on the way down.
My brother is an C.O. A office will show up at your home. they will set everything up, and strap the bracelet around his leg. They will test it to make sure it works.( having him walk around your yard) Tell you husband, that you pass judgment on ppl all the time and he does to do what he can to stay out of trouble. BTW if the neighbors can spot a police car, (marked or unmarked) they WILL know!

Your husband HAS to lay low, lady.. that is why he is under HOUSE ARREST. As to what shall you do if the neighbors find out??? Maybe your husband could have thought about how what he did to get arrested and convicted would affect his own family when he got caught. Good people do not commit crimes.

Doubtful anyone will know, of course you're concerned now but believe me, esp this timie of year, people are far too busy with their own stuff to think about yours and there won't be any marked cars out in front, no worries. All they will do is place a cuff around his leg and monitor him from headquarters. If he goes ousisde his parameters it will sound an alarm there.

the equipment is at a certain place. they put the band on the ankle and can be seen through pants and especially shorts but if the neighbor is a sheriff than he can find out if he wants too. why are you ashamed of the neighbors you should be ashamed of your husband and he needs to be ashamed of himself. sometimes these types of things are printed in the local newspaper. I would say that whether the neighbors will know is the least of your problems. You should expend your time figuring out what went wrong and fixing it. Some family counselling might be in order.

the cops will bring him home, hook up the device to the power source, slap the monitor on him, odds are the neighbors will see the cops , and if he goes outside the allowed distance, the cops will call, and show up at the house
