In Canada, it's winter. We have only 2 seasons though, winter which is 9 months of the year (3 months pre-winter, 3 months hibernation winter, and 3 months post hibernation winter) and pseudo-summer (also known as not-so-cold winter) which is 3 months of the year. So there is a 75% chance that events during the year occurring during winter.
For all those geographically challenged people who asked why he asked this question, it is summer in southern South America and in Australia/New Zealand. This is a great question!
