IF they fought (and not all found it necessary) they fought other tribes... usually over land. Some tribes were mobile like nomads... some stayed in the same area over centuries...
White men fought Native Americans... primarily over land as well... The white men were greedy and wanted it all. Initially, many Native Americans were willing to share, until it was clear they were being taken advantage of. Now.... look what has happened... It's shameful.

Each other. Amongst certain tribes there was rape, torture, murder, and sacrifice of other tribes, and conquering of each others land. This cannot totally be said for all tribes. It's like this in every continent though. Various tribes all over the world were either conquerers, or they may have been peaceful people who were victims of being conquered by another tribe. It's happened all over the world, all throughout history, even with Native Americans before the Europeans came.

They fought each other. Ruthlessly and relentlessly as the historical record indicates.. Most native american tribes were continuously at war with their neighbors in competition for land, women, food and everything else. They had slavery of captured enemies, and many tribes practiced ritual canibalism. More successful peoples, like the Inca and Maya, practiced mass slaughter on a huge scale, killing and enslaving tens of thousands, wiping out entire nations and engaging in all sorts of cruelty and savagery.

They fought each other. They did a lot of that. Some of them even went so far as to eat the enemy's dead. But then the Europeans came and brought civilization, taught them to live peacefully, and now they don't fight each other anymore.

solid question, i think some have been unhappy approximately being asked to combat. yet i think of ww2 had a draft (nevertheless unsure), so some could of had to combat. some could of additionally completed it for the money and for the honour they thought they could earnings from different individuals. some could have purely desperate to place their adjustments aside and shield the country that they enjoyed, after all even nevertheless the Europeans took over, it replaced into their usa first, and that they could desire to prefer to shield it whether they could desire to artwork with the 'enemy'....positioned adjustments aside for the extra beneficial solid. Others possibly figured it replaced into their accountability as an American like many people of distinctive races did. Who is conscious, yet they did combat, and without them the wars could have long previous a very distinctive way. (The code talkers working example)
