I was in the town today and I saw an old man, drunk, fall and hurt himself. All his mouth was cut and bleeding, I think it was his gums. His nose was swollen and bleeding too. As he fell his hand went under him and he hurt his thumb.

Not one person went to his aid. The town was full of people shopping and not one person went to enquire if he needed help.

(Be assured that the man is ok and back home with his family.)

Looks like the old gent was celebrating early.
I think you were very brave with the aids thing and all.

Today people are too afraid to get involved, sad but true.

Glad he is O.K.Unfortunately because of all the changing rules and regulations people were afraid to get involved in case they get sued if anything goes wrong. I am a Designated First Aider at work and it has been made very clear to me that I am Designated at work only for the same reason I mentioned above, even though if I dealt with an incident at work and something went wrong I would still be at risk.

Earlier this week I got out my car to help an old lady with a stick cross a really wide 40mph road. She was very grateful and wished me 'merry christmas'. That has so made my christmas. I have told all my friends how good doing that made me feel. All the people in your town missed out today by doing nothing. They didnt get the chance to feel better like I got the chance.

At the very least ask if hes OK, make sure he doesnt need to go to the hospital.
Thats a utter disgrace no one stopped and checked on him. Where was all the kindness thats possed to be going around this time of year.

Did YOU help him? Obviously someone did, thank goodness. I once was driving home, in town, and saw a guy fall on the sidewalk and I pulled over and helped him up and walked him home. He called me an angel.

I say that I would have called for help, but I may have acted like everyone else in the shopping mall. I would have walked right on by because I would be too scared to go over and help him.

OMG! Honestly, I might have hesitated to see if anyone else was going to help him, but if not, I would have rushed over to help him myself! I can't imagine not even one person helping him out. Drunk or not, where is the humanity?

Woah...that's wierd and mean. I would've been a little scared of him though. Geez I'm only 13 but I can honestly say that I would've helped him somehow or someway.

The police will take him home although he would probably get a ticket for public drunkenness.
