Depends on whether the loved one was guilty of that crime. And it also might depend on which loved one it was.

In almost any case I could imagine, I would not take the fall for a crime she or he committed in order to free the person. It's just not consistent with my moral framework.

It depends...

If they actually did do the crime, then obviously no.

If they did not commit the crime, I don't see the benefit in trading places with them. I would imagine I could help them more if I were not locked behind bars. Sure they may go to jail for a while but one way or another I would get them out. One thing I'm firm on is that if someone I know is found guilty for something I know they did not do, I would do absolutely everything in my power to get them out, whether it be legal illegal, hell even if I have to kill someone. I guess I just feel that someone suffering in prison for something they did not do is much worse than anything I could possibly do while trying to get them out no matter how despicable.

Not a chance. If that loved one had also not committed the crime, I would do everything in my power to get him acquitted.

No Way Not Ever!!!!, the LOVED one needs to pay the price for the crime and learn that he has to be punished for his bad decisions!!

Depends. What was the crime? If my 'loved one' knocked over a liquor store, I'd have to let 'em reap the whirlwind.

No.
If you do, you're stupid. But if you're that stupid then maybe you should be put away to keep from harming others or procreating.

I wouldn't even confess to save my mother. She did the crime, she's going to do the time. Simple. Got it?
