I am blue, some of my relatives are gone

I am here in Italy all my family is the the UK.
I'm sitting in front of my PC all alone!
Sipping Fragolino.
I have just eaten a large plateful of Pasta with Ragù alla Montananara.
And I not listening to endless 24/7 Bing Crosby, And dear old Franky, as I would be at home with my family!
I know I'm a terrible man, but I can't say there is any blue about it.
What with the wine and all I am having what everybody should be having.
A peaceful and Very Merry Xmas.

I'm kind of in the same boat as SophiaSeeker and you except it was my Dad that died 2 years ago.
Two years ago today, he was in the hospital. On New Year's Eve, he died. It kind of casts a gloom over the holidays.
At dinner tonight, my mother was mentioning how it's hard to believe we lost Dad almost 2 years ago. If he had lived, that year would have been their 50th anniversary so it's hard on her.
But I prefer not to dwell on that and, instead, count our blessings. Here's hoping you have a great 2008!

unfortuantely, yes. I live 1300 miles from my family in Alabama. I am 1000 miles from my "guy" if that is the correct term...... I am stranded in a HUGE blizzard and will be lonely this year.........
i would SO VERY much love for my guy to be with me - and my family to smile and hug and share Favorite Christmas Stories............

I will until about lunchtime when my son gets here, then the fun begins and it takes me until next christmas to clear up the mess he makes with his toys.
