% change = {(final no. - initial no.) / initial no.} X 100
If this no. is +ve then, the change is increase and -ve then it is decrease.
{(21 - 24)/24} x 100 = -12.5 = 12.5 % decrease (- sign means decrease)
{(80 - 64)/64} x 100 = 25 = 25 % increase (+ sign means increase)
{(113 - 100)/100} x 100 = 13 % increase
{(41 - 50)/50} x 100 = 18 % decrease
{(105 - 63)/63} x 100 = 66.67 % increase
{(168 - 42)/42} x 100 = 300 % increase
{(24 - 80)/80} x 100 = 70 % increase
{(158 - 200)/200} x 100 = 21 % decrease

= 1/8 x 100%
= 100/8 %
= 12.5%
2.
80-64/64 x 100%
= 16/64 x 100%
= 1/4 x 100%
= 100/4 %
= 25%
3.
113-100/100 x 100%
= 13/100 x 100%
= 13000/100 %
= 13%
4.
50-41/50 x 100%
= 9/50 x 100%
= 900/50 %
= 18%
5.
105-63/63 x 100%
= 42/63 x 100%
= 2/3 x 100%
= 200/3 %
= 66 2/3 %
6.
168-42/42 x 100%
= 126/42 x 100%
= 3 x 100%
= 300%

Hello there,
The formula would be :
Percent Change = (Second Number/First Number) x 100%
So I will do the first three examples for you:
1. 24 to 21
Percent Change = 21/24 x 100%
= 0.875 x 100%
= 87.5%
2. 64 to 80
Percent Change = 80/64 x 100%
= 125%
3. 100 to 113
Percent Change = 113/100 x 100%
= 113%
Hope this helps. Write back for more help.

Here's how to find the percentage of change.
Example: 200 to 158.
What's the start value? 200.
What's the finish value? 158.
The actual change from start to finish: 158-200 = -42.
The PERCENTAGE change: Divide actual change by 200. Why 200? Because it's the starting value. It's the basis of comparison. (think Basis...base...denominator...divide by ...)
So the percentage change is -42/200 = -21/100 = 21%

For Percentage changes (Works for Increases and Decreases)
Let Start Number = S
Let End Number = E
For increase subtract Start No. from End No.
For decrease subtract End No. from Start No.
So in your 1st example:-
[{E - S} / S] x 100
[(24 - 21)/ 24] x 100
= 12.5%
2)
[{E - S} / S] x 100
[{80 - 64} / 80] x 100
= 20%
And so on !!!
Hope this helps :-)
