Because they feel it pressing onto your tummy and don't like the sound, my son did it all the time, it was like a game to him.

I couldn't give you a scientific answer to that question, but both of my babies did the same thing. I always figured they were already in a cramped space, and we were just invading there territory. Who really knows!

Some babies also don't like the pressure of it on them. My baby kicks the midwife every time she puts her hands on my tummy. I think they are sensitive to the pressure, especially as you get further along.

Babies can feel movement and hear sound and see light. When my sister was pregnant with twins if someone touched her belly, the babies would kick the hand.

lol when i had my ultrasound done it literally looked like the baby was tkaing a fit..when the lady would push down.. he would kick his feet up... it was cute..but wow it looked like he had temper lol
5 months after birth.. he really does lol
