greetings indigo child:

humm... some of these responses were interesting but from a scientific point of view not really worthy...

1. "science" is really a pre-scientific term that was first seen via philosophy. needlesstosay, science in its best form is supposed to be both "reasonable and objective" or at least that's what the teachers say...

2.dunno nothing bout microgravity...sorry...

3. the scientific method goes something like this:
a. hypthesis-
b. observation
c. results
d. conclusion
iow, you make a guess, see it in reality, test your hyspothesis, record the results of your experiement, and then make a conclusion based on those results...

4. very philosophical questions here my friend, all aspects of objective reality are measured based on perception. mass via weight, time via distance and movement, etc...

5. if i remember my grade school lessons correctly, the foot was actually a random measurement taken from the length of some kings foot... a long time ago... i think that after some time the foot got converted into the metric system but not sure when or by whom.

6. well after all this i'm a little beat... it's the friggin holidays. but i'm sure there are others out there on the net who can help...

have a happy holidays mon frere!

Find out the measurers urself ...
5.Metric sys = a measuring sys is used to determine dimensions.
Increment is based on comparision to basic unit : metre or milimetre ...

Do the other urself ... dizzy ... such a huge depot of doubt

13 questions for the price of one. Is that due to your mail being compressed because it's sent at the speed of light? Impressive. By the way, terms are normally used and not sued. I'd hate to have to sue microgravity.
