I went at 10:30 and they didn't have breadfast. Who wants a big mac at 10:30 AM?

The reason why MCdonalds doesn't serve breakfast all day is becasue the breakfast is way cheaper than the regular menu. They would loose so much money because everyone would be getting an EggmCmuffin which is cheaper than a BIG MAC. if people go there and see that breakfst is being served, most likely they will just say,,oooh okay we'll have a big mac and fries. this seems lika a problem to costumers, but Mcdonalds has this idea that the customers don't care, as long as they get their food. Also, when restaurants especially big chains put a time limit on something there is always a rush. Everyone will come between the hours till 10:30. The last reason is because it is easier for their chefs and workers to just focus on making one thing rather than making breakfas, lunch, and dinner all at one time. It is was easier when they have the breakfast stuff out and the lunch products out seperately.

I know this seems like a burden, but that is what this world has come to...big cooperations like Mcdonalds have thought about the ease for them rather than the customers. They make more money, their job is easier.....but in the end the customers just want an EGG MCMUFFIN at 10:30 rather than chiacken mcnuggets and a diet coke.

Thats a great question. I think they should have a transition period where they have breakfast and the normal stuff for an hour or two just for the people who want a big mac at 10:30 AM.

You should bring it up to some of the higher powers of McDonalds. It would be a good way to get a little more money.

Traditional breakfast is the first meal on the day. So early hours. When I worked for McDonald's in the olden days. We were not open until 11:00am. We did not serve breakfast food.
Then breakfast was introduced. The settings for the grill are different for the meat and eggs. So you shut off breakfast service and start lunch.
Many people have to start their lunch as early as 11:00am. And most people don't eat eggs for lunch. That's the simple explanation.
Have a great Day

There have been some recent writings in the news that McDonald’s restaurants are considering the idea of offering their breakfast menu twenty-four hours a day. And for those McDonald’s restaurants that are not open all night long, the breakfast menu would still be available during all open business hours.

its for the sake of the kitchen,it would be too confusing for them,,and I'm sure ,to offer the full menu, there are certain pieces of equipment that would need to stay on,if sales don't justify it, then it's a waste.breakfast needs to be fast ,maybe they want to concentrate their cooks on that and not spread themselves thin.I'm sure they make just as much money at breaky as they do off a burger.you said you couldn't get breaky at 10:30,they had probably turned the breakfast equipment off,.the eggs and other stuff was being put away for the day, they were getting ready for lunch.they also track sales, obivously they don't think they are turning away sales at 10:30.or they would extend the hours

It all boils down to supply and demand. They track sales of items by day and time of day and adjust their menu offerings to maximize profits. This includes not only what items to sell but when to sell them. Most McDonald's serve breakfast until 11 AM. You can bet the one you speak of found that it was not profitable to sell breakfast items after 10:30.
