You can just use 'zillatube' - it is very easy to use.
It will help you to download videos and put them on your itunes..
1. download the video
2. convert the video to mp4 format
3. drag the mp4 into iTunes
It works.... just google search to get 'zillatube'

Use firefox internet browser to download youtube video. firefox has provide this video downloader where you can download youtube videos.
Go to this website and get the steps to download it and convert to mpeg or other format so that you can played it at windows media player.

There are various sites as mentioned above (my favourite is http://www.keepvid.com ), and use this to download the .flv file, download a converter, or use an online one at http://www.media-convert.com or http://www.zamzar.com and convert it to the format of your choice (as long as it's supported in iTunes which most ones you know of probably will be e.g. mp4)
