How much does Apple bootcamp slow down windows XP?

Lets say you had two computers, one Mac, one PC they both had the same OS installed and the same processor and memory, how much faster would one be then the other at running heavy programs or any program for that matter?

XP will run faster on a Mac than on a PC.

OS X is better for running heavey programs than Windows.

All bootcamp does is partition the disk and supply drivers for Windows. Your XP is running in it's own partition and doesn't even know that OSX is an another partition.
That said, you can't compare the two because Macs have different chipsets than PCs, so the computers can't be identical.

bootcamps just a boot manager. it shouldnt slow it down any once the operating system is up... since its not like a virtual machine. on the otherhand... the mac would probably run windows about the same as a pc can since it uses the same processor (intel). the pc is much more upgradeable... and has better compatibility... for a cheaper price. macs are expensive!

If they both had the exact same specs, obviously they'd run everything the same.

The Macs with Intel chips are simply PC's that are overpriced and look shiny.

Those who say Macs run XP faster are ignorant fools that believe everything the internet says.
