if the files on the cd had virusis in them then yes
but since your aunts computer isnt dead im assuming its safe
ive download hundreds of songs from limewire and have never gotten a virus also for part of the time i didnt have a virus blocker
but theres still a change someone will put one in a file
i always preview the song before its done downloading to make sure its the right thing before its finished downloading
although you can still get a virus from that

It could be possible, I suppose.
If the CDs have a file that's infected with a virus, then I suppose there is a possiblilty that you can get it.
I'd suggest that you run a virus and a spyware scan after you put the music on your computer.
Good luck and I hope I helped!

If she did not have it, after downloading it and playing it, no you won't. She has sort of tested it for you.
But yours is new. Install a virus protection from AVG. It is free. It is always a good idea to have a virus check with anything you borrow.

It's possible that the songs may contain a virus . . . why don't you scan it for viruses before loading the songs on your computer? MP3 files can be infected with viruses.

possible, depending on the virus, but chances of getting a virus are pretty slim

Not if the songs are in audio format (like a regular cd) or in .mp3 format.
If they are in .wma format, they could have a virus attached.
