Bob and I are in total agreement on this one.

No need for apology, as stated in the question, I realize I am in the minority on this one. You know what they say about opinions....

CME=BEST ANSWER. 2 reasons: 1. He called it a sweater. 2. He also seems to grasp the concept that when we look at somebody wearing a sweater out, we think about how disgusting it would be if we wore ours right along with how silly we would look. Last I checked they still made sweatshirts and t-shirts if you really need to show your team loyalty that bad.
I honestly hope it doesn't stop though because I will always get a kick out of the dude at the game rocking what appears to be a spandex jersey complete with a player that was traded 2 years ago on the back (with nacho cheese stains all over it.)
Joe, you one of the guys still sporting the orange Lindros jerseys at the Phantom games??? lol jk

Joe, if it'll make you feel any better, I still wear my Team Canada jersey every once in a while. As part of my ritual, I'll be wearing it for a full week and a bit starting on the 26th though! Unlike Bob and Zam, I really couldn't care any less as to what some pissant in Toronto thinks of me, especially in the fashion sense. It's just clothes to cover my shame, people!! lol

Yep.

When I walk down the aisle and a tree-hugger family is approaching from the direction I'm going in, the parents pull the kids from the center of the aisle and use their body to shield their kids from me.

But there are many more folks that see the stains and assume I'm a sloppy eater or, are hockey fans themselves.

HEY JOE = (Not related to your question) Did you see the Tidewater building get detonated?

BOB & ZAM = Remember the "fashion statement" question from many, many months ago?

Oh yeah, I just remembered my response back then:

"I make anything look good."

Let me see if I have the concept down. You get off the ice, change into your street clothes, probably throw the sweater in your bag with all your other equipment, then pull it out after a certain length of time and wear it shopping.
It may be more than the visual aspect drawing all the attention. I don't find it strange that you're getting stares, hell, I'd be looking around for the dead rat too.

Hey the stares could be a lot worse. My team mate left practice and had to go to the grocery store. She is just going through the aisles getting what she needs. Then she starts to notice people are looking at her funny. She just smiles at them and finishes her shopping. She gets in her car and sits down, only then does she realize that she has been in the store this whole time wearing her jock outside of her shorts. She starts to call all of us laughing her a** off. She still can't believe she did it to this day. This is a true story. Always remember , boys and girls to remove your jock before entering the grocery store.

Nope. I grew out of my jersey about 6yrs ago and haven't got a new one:( People have asked me who wrote on it before! ( There's soooo many autographs on it its hard to find a clean spot) Oh and there's no blood most my fights are verbal some people think it hurts less to get hit.

??? No. My favorite jersey has Saturday night pizza stains on it. Guess I'm more of a lover than a fighter.

Hmm. My Leafs jersey doesn't have blood on it. I guess I'm not a fighter.
