Has anyone had any experience with the Lord Abbett mutual funds?

Mutual funds with loads & average expenses. Probably better choices out there with Vanguard, Fidelity and/or TRowe Price.

I did a little work on an old friend's 401 ...he had two of their funds...one " growth and income" and the other I can't remember...but I DO remember that we got OUT of both of them. ( Poor performance compared to similar funds in the plan.)
If I get an answer to an E-mail I sent him ( for details)..I'll add to this answer.
