Because the Media picks our front runners for us.

They picked this one-term senator about a week after he won his election, and ever since 2004, Obama has been a 'front runner,' even before he declared he would run.

They picked Fred Thompson as a 'front runner' before he declared he would run. Then when he did run, his credibility was shot after the very first debate. The media pundits give all the 'free press' to whomever they want with their 'talking head' programs. Voters actually think they are getting an education by watching these guys.

Ron Paul has stunned the established many times so far this year. I can't wait until 2008 in order to see how they 'spin' the story when the Good Doctor places in the top three in Iowa, top two in New Hampshire, and wins South Carolina.

Good question. Because the media and the establishment feel threatened by his message, and therefore they don't want to put him in the lime-light if they can help it.

Hillary, Obama, Rudy, McCain, and Romney on the other hand, are media darlings, and are supported by the establishment and the media. That is why people hear more about them on the news, and therefore they think these are the only candidates to vote for.

If you were the establishment or the media, would you promote some candidate who threatens your position or would you promote a candidate who helps your position?

Plus, the nature of the 'majority' of the people is to vote for or support a 'popular' candidate just like they pick a popular sports team, hoping they will win. There is a psychology of the crowd mentality called 'groupthink' which affects the way people think and behave in a society. This 'groupthink' is similar to how wild animals stampede and lemmings drown themselves due to herd mentality. Majority is not always right. This is true during stock market and housing market manias, and also with any kind of collective behavior.

Ron Paul lead at almost all of the nation's strawpolls (www.ronpaul2008.com) meaning that the majority of people are voting Ron Paul in their mock elections, as well.

After the caucuses (and Ron Paul will win those as well) the media will have to acknowledge Ron Paul as a frontrunner.

Ron Paul is for the PEOPLE of this country and against the establishment.

They will IGNORE him until the end.

Main stream media is ignoring him. NOT the people.

Because the election is not just about money, it's about how many people support you. The reason it's called grass-roots support is b/c it's a very small amount of dedicated people. But what you need is large numbers of people.
