It has something to do with the Headlock Incident of 1842.
Way back when, Jesus came back for a few minutes to tell Santa how much he appreciated all the fine work he was doing, but Santa thought Jesus was coming back for good, therefore eliminating Santa's job.
Well, words were exchanged and eventually Jesus had Santa in a headlock saying "Take it easy, fat man! I'm going back! I'm going back!"
So, after much bargaining and trouble, God himself declared that Jesus and Santa could never be seen together again.
But there was that time back in 1922.....

I dont know how so many people are blinded by a tradition that isnt even bible based i found an article on wikepedia about how santa claus came about will post it below Saint Nicholas of Myra is the primary inspiration for the Christian figure of Santa Claus. He was a 4th-century Greek Christian bishop of Myra in Lycia, a province of the Byzantine Anatolia, now in Turkey. Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor, in particular presenting the three impoverished daughters of a pious Christian with dowries so that they would not have to become prostitutes. He was very religious from an early age and devoted his life entirely to Christianity. In Europe (more precisely the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Germany) he is still portrayed as a bearded bishop in canonical robes. In 1087, the Italian city of Bari, wanting to enter the profitable pilgrimage industry of the times, mounted an expedition to locate the tomb of the Christian Saint and procure the remains. The reliquary of St. Nicholas was desecrated by Italian sailors and the spoils, including his relics, taken to Bari [8] [9] where they are kept to this day. A basilica was constructed the same year to store the loot and the area became a pilgrimage site for the devout, thus justifying the economic cost of the expedition. Saint Nicholas became claimed as a patron saint of many diverse groups, from archers and children to pawnbrokers.[10] He is also the patron saint of both Amsterdam and Moscow Where in the bible does it use any of these names, Jesus said his followers would know him and he would be an example we were to preach the goodnews to people through out all the earth in Matthew 24 verse 14 not to believe in a santa claus that comes down a chimney!

Jesus works as a stand-up religious comedian on the Borscht Circuit in the Catskills every Christmas season so he never runs into Santa who has his own sled towing business going on. During Christmas, Jesus gets a little cross and sometimes gets stoned. Santa always has some cute elves around, if he needs a short one.

On Google Images do a search on [Jesus santa]. There a lot of very cool pics of the two together and other similar things. Here are a few of them:

Because it's Jesus's birthday, so he spends it around the roughest club he can find.
