Handmake Halloween candies? Start in December?
I assume you mean Christmas candies. I handmake mine and I started on Saturday the 22nd.
It all depends on how much weight you want to gain during the Christmas season.

Merry Halloween to you! We are usually so overwhelmed around here at this time of the year that I only make a few small batches of candy for our friends and family and then store purchase the rest for the passing out to children. I like to make traditional rum balls rolled in orange tinted sugar and I always make divinity and fudge. Usually I add orange and black sprinkles, sometimes red gel for the "blood effect", stuff like that.

I don't make Halloween candy - I would figure that no child's parent would allow them to eat something not purchased for fear that it could be poison or in some other way, dangerous.
