I was two courses shy of my BS in Econ and ended up with a BA. I have several courses of advanced math (above and beyond multi-variate calc), statistics, and dynamic and linear analysis. If I would have taken the programming course and additional science course needed to graduate with a BS, I would have had to delay my grad program (MBA) for a year. Now I am regretting that decision. I have found that even my professors in grad school automatically assume that my quantitative background is sub-par due to the BA rather than BS. Although I enjoy proving them wrong, I worry that the BA will affect my future job search (I want to go into a quantitative field). Is there any way for me to get a BS after the fact? My MBA is in Operations Mgmt, but the bulk of my quantitative coursework was completed in undergrad. Any ideas?

You do not need to go back and get your BS, especially not for two classes (you'd have to actually pursue a different major in addition to the BS classes). If you're concerned, just add some of your quantitative courses to the"relevant coursework" section of your resume (only if it is truly relevant, of course). I think the biggest issue here is your pride. YOU know your background, so don't worry about the assumptions of others. Use your resume as a tool to get your qualifications across (that's the purpose of a resume!).

If you already have an MBA, you do NOT need to take any more classes in the BS area. Just take non-credit or other training coursework when you start working. It shouldn't affect your situation that much. Employers are less picky than college professors.

She just said she did all that work trying to earn a BS and got a BA. Why the hell should she go back to school and take another round of classes. People are just typical now a days I swear.

Go back to your school and select another major and see what credits will count towards your BS. Then continue on until you receive your BS.
