I've seen them fall off many times (I've even knocked a few off) but I've never seen the play stop. Luongo lost his earlier this year and goal was almost scored.

i think the play will not stop because the main point for having a glove is to protect your hands but there are some cases where you d man can hand you your glove that will happen if the goalie looses his stick too when that happens the player can hand him his stick or pass the stick to the goalie but in this case the d man can hand the glove over

No, play will not stop. It will stop if his mask comes off though. It still happens, but not as frequently as before because most guys strap their gloves down pretty tight.

I took up goaltending late in life. I was involved in a bench clearing brawl a couple of years back because a guy ran me. I couldn't get either glove off so I pinned the guy to the wall with my catcher and threw with my blocker. The guy and the league weren't happy, I opened him up pretty good.

I believe it's next to impossible for a goalie to drop his catcher. It's snapped on his hand pretty good.

Nope. So he better find another way to stop shots to the top corner or his sex life is going on hold for a few days.

No play will not stop, he will either have to just use his stick, his hand, go grab his glove, or wait for a whistle to blow.

Its called a glove, but you have it strapped on your hand, so it doesn't fall off.
