HCL, NaOH, KCl, HF, CsOH are completely ionized in water. This has been measured by conductivity measurements which allow to measure the amount of ions
NH3 is a weak electrolyte

A strong electrolyte will be tens of times more conductive of electricity than a weak one.On the practical level use a multimeter, set to measure resistance, and dip the probes into the liquid.Try it out with vinegar(weak electrolyte) and with salt water(strong electolyte).I just thought a little experiment would be more interesting than a lecture(mind I'm all in favour of lectures once the interest is there).

An electrolyte is strong or weak according to its degree of ionization in water. NaCl, for example, is a strong electrolyte as it practically breaks down completely into its ions, Na+ (cation) and Cl-(anion), while CH3COOH, for example, is very weak, as it does not break down completely into CH3COO- and H+, while sugar, in its many forms, does not break down at all in water. This is a non-electrolyte. Get it?
