These last couple games of the year are simply a time to get him reps. Offensively, the team is not that good and putting in a rookie QB is not going to shake things up, especially at a point in the season where players are looking forward to tee times & not getting injured. And this is a front office decision to get Russell into the games, so he is being pushed along against the plans of the coaching staff.

I think he is a rookie. Why does everyone expect rookies to come out and throw 4tds a game, especially a rookie QB on a team like the Raiders...

you guys are haters, he is a rookie, he is not overrated, he was never going to start this year, and he's lucky he didn't cause it would have been the end of his career as his O line would have set him up to get crushed over and over before he ever had a chance to do anything, he's gonna be better than a lot of suses out there right now, just wait.

How can you judge a Rookie Quarterback who has up to this point got little to none playing time ???? I think any Rookie QB in his situation in the NFL would produce the same results, it is very rare to find one that plays well right away .

He's a great QB just give him so time. He's a rookie and not used to his team yet. And he's not overrated, he was in the SEC. That's the hardest conference in college football.

he is a rookie who has gotten limited playing time this year and doesnt not have a good veteran qb to show him the "ropes"

His best WR is joey porter and his O- line is terrible, plus their RB is justin fargas what do u expect

He should have given his signing bonus to the Notre Dame defense. They made him a number one pick. If I were to bet I would say he's going to be a bust.
