So my friend and I are gonna car pool to Boston, we plan on staying at the Radison in Chelsford as we got it for $39 a night. Now where could we park the car we are taking and jump on the local mass transit and only have to pay for an unlimited pass while we are there. We of course would then take the t or a bus back to that station and then drive back to the hotel. Any ideas? Thanks!!.

From Chelmsford, get on I495 North, take the Woburn Street exit (I think it's exit 38), take a right at the end of the ramp. Follow this road down about ~2 miles. On your right will be a commuter train T stop (North Billerica stop), with parking lot.

You need to check the schedule, so you don't have to wait along time for the next train. http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/rail/

The train will take you to North Station, from North Station you can get to any place in Boston on the T.

Craig, don`t you remember the answers to your prior questions????????????

And why did you decide to stay in Chelmsford when, all things considered, Bedford would be cheaper????

The Bedford hotel would probably sell T passes, also; probably not Chelmsford.

Anyway, you can park your car at Lowell train station, then buy your T pass at North Station, Boston.

The nearest subway station that sells passes would be Alewife. To get there take Rte 3 to Rte 95 south to Rte 2 south. Alewife station is on Rte 2 at the Cambridge/Arlington city line. There is a big parking garage there but you have to pay (as you have to pay at all T parking lots and garages).

Best place to park in Boston. Try the parking garage on Washington Street near Pie Alley. Its actuall on the corner of Washington and School Street near old City Hall. You park there and you are all set. Fanuiel Hall is a very short walk away.

chelmsford is one hour away from boston, with no traffic delays.
radisson is nice with a pool. but know u will be closer to new hampshire than boston.

need to google the mbta website, for rail map to find a station closest to chemlsford, and check the parking availablilty and fees. some lots are presold so check ahead.

u can pick up the commuter rail in north billerica, check that lot for fees and avalbty.

First of all it's CHELMSFORD not Chelsford. Then hmm..well there are parking avail in all parts of Boston, some might cost U $20 per hr, depending when you get there...hay I have an idea, go highjack a Boston Metro Police car, then you can park anywhere:-) for free!

You'll have a long drive. . .You could use the North Billerica station, as others have suggested, or driver further to the Alewife station, and park there. You'll be in the car more than on the train.

Parking anywhere in the Boston area is a major pain in the tail.

If you want to take just the T and not the commuter rail, the biggest and cheapest garage is at Wellington on the Orange line. You won't do better.

if you want to be on a train with more upscale people or you are going in to Cambridge, go to Wellington on the red line.

both have huge parking garages
