There are a couple of things to be considered. There is nothing more permanent than something temporary when it comes to taxes and politics. A dictatorship in Indai would be a disaster.

Most important is for the head of Govt and some prime movers give an organization - committee, the power the streamline the beaurocracy. That being done, take steps to correct the next most important things which is graft and corruption. That means uncorruptable investigators, prosecutors and judges and effective serious punishment for those who are involved.

Another major problem is wildlife poaching. The Cleanup committee should be empowered to prosecure any and every person killing animals for any reason but especially sever, like shoot on sight, for this killing tigers. Thos actually caught - public flogging and life in prison taking care of troubled, ill and abandoned animals.

This groups should not have unbridled power, but be answerable on a quarterly basis to an oversight group within the framewaork of the existing legistative branch.

Perhaps imposition of a constitution similar in principal, though nore streamlined, to the US Version would be helpful.

The British left a fabulous and well organized infrastructure. It is in need of overhaul. Again the problems of graft and corruption interferes with accomplishment. The committee should be empowered to take care of this as well.

There must be safety measures to prevent this group from ururpation of power and to prevent interferance form politicians with vested interest. Once empowerd, no one can stop or block it from accomplishing specific and well defined projects.

A dictator, remember can empower himself to continue to be a dictator. There is nothing like absolute power to bring about absolute corruption.

This proposal is not really complete or accurately stated but you get the idea.

A temporary dictatorship can work wonders in India but we have to give the reigns of power to a worthy dictator in whose hands the democratic values will remain safe and can be effectively reinstated once things are streamlined. How can we find such a Leader amongst the current crop of criminals who represent Indian politics? It is upto each one of us and someone amongst us has to take up this daunting task with the help of educated middle classes of India.

Dictatorships are never temporary. They have the tendency to become permanent. And they are more guilty of insensitivity, corruption, favouritism, nepotism, bribery and sycophancy. If you have any doubts, just look at Myanmar.
India tasted its dictatorship with Indira Gandhi's
" Emergency ".And her sons Sanjay and Rajiv were also hot-headed autocrats who had no respect for democratic values or human rights
India is not a country but a subcontinent with many languages and distinct cultures - not onlydo they vary but are also unconnected. A dictatorship then would not only not work but miserably fail.
A government commited to providing employment, education and health to the poor people, particularly those livng in the villages, would bring about miracles the Asker is dreaming of...

Yes but only if the dictator has the foresight and ethics of Mr Lee Kuan Yew. In fact such a dictator is urgently required before India goes past the point of no return, what with all the Naxal violence, politically instigated communal hatred, encounter murders et al.

No. What India needs is a good democracy with clean politicians. There is nothing like 'Temporary' dictatorship. Either he is out-throned due to political or civic pressure or death. Dictatorship is like riding a tiger. One is OK till riding but as soon as he mounts down he is eaten by that tiger itself.

yahoo, google, msn will be blocked.

Even u have money, you can only join a course offered by Government (because most of the students though they don't have a capacity or marks, they opt for shortcuts like payment seats to join their interesting courses)

Everything will be decided by the dictator.

overall, you will not be having the rights to claim your democracy back.

Do you still need it?

What the country needs is young literated patriotic souls who can work together and eradicate corruption from top to bottom.

Then the country will be as what you wish.

definitely YES....I 100% beleive that we should have a dictator on the economic front...who will simply do things to see that economic conditions improve.....and whatever and whoever the hurdle should be over powered and removed.....our politicians mostly and most of time are not interested in country's welfare ....if at all any development its out of compulsion......
