Say what you want but even if you have a BA you still have alot of competition. So it doesn't mean you are going to get a decent job. I am 23 I have not graduated college yet, Though alot of people at my current job I come to find out have BA's. Mostly in business. I work at a call center(for now).

I agree with that. This society sucks.

You need to define success. Once you decide that, you can start deciding what to do.

If you want to make money, you go into a field that pays well, where owning you own business is unnecessary. Once you make money, they you start investing the money, so the money starts to work for you.

Cheers and Good luck!

I think in today's world, the word "Success" has been used in a very varied sense. I think if you mean only monetary success, then business is certainly for you. But doing it is not easy. Let me tell you, the input that you put into a business concern is proportional to the output or the success that you get.

For now, simply love the job you are doing. The society does not suck. To quote Mark Twain, "The Society does not owe you anything. It was there before you."

So go with the flow. For the time being, enjoy whatever you are doing. Later on, think of doing something that you want to. And please don't just consider monetary success. You might be much, muh, much more successful as a person than all that money can buy! Be a successful call centre employ now. This will prepare you for the opportunities that lie ahead. Don't think of striking it very big at this young age.

Hope this helps! All the very best. Wish you success in the coming years!

to borrow a quotation -- "There is always room at the top."
[Zig Ziglar].

you can be successful in virtually any field is you are willing to settle for nothing less than being the very best.

that said, even though you are the very best, you may need to be innovative to figure out how to get that success for yourself and doing so may cost you many "friends".

**
Example: the world's finest musicians are very well paid even though the live performance industry for classical music in the US is dominated by unions with their usual "everyone should get paid the same" mentality.

The same is true for university professors even though they may be employed in a unionized setting [California State Universities' faculty, for example, are unionized].

Owning a business is also a highly risky thing to do. If the economy collapses (the banks are currently insolvent and the economy is slowing) you lose your livelihood and your capital. Only the super-rich are doing well in our society. We need to make some changes. Drastic changes.
