Shiv Sena usually opposes anyone/thing non-Maharashtrian.It could not digest a section of Indian Muslims supporting the Pakistan team.That is where the trouble started a few decades back.There is no ban as such.

Because of Shiv Sena threat on Pak players. Same goes in
Karachi because of threat on Indian players.
Sports do not need to have such political activities and should
be barred from all such ridiculous acts.

While shiv Sena are opposing theconduct of India-Pakistan Matches due to the terrorist activities of pakistan against india, India-Pakistan matches are not at all banned in Mumbai.

well i think because most of the time people throw lightened stuff like plastic bottles on the ground when the match is in it's ending stages. it happened in 1997 when india had a match with them and also in 2002

Their is one extremist party who pokes the nose in cricket games.. luckily its influence is in Mumbai only.. otherwise it would have been a great loss for World Cricket...
