Well, it depends. If there are more numbers than alphabets, or more alphabets than numbers. If they were both evenly together, it would probably be alphabets because your brain is accustom to seeing tousands of letters every day. As you are reading this you are seeing more and more letters. Thus, when you look at the notice you first notice the alphabets. Now, if you just came out of math class for two periods, you may see the numbers on the notice first because of your appeal to numbers for the past hour. And if you just woke up, you would see both, however read from the beginning to end. Your mind is fresh and you begin reading something, which makes you read from left to right, as opposed to looking over the page, then reading.

Neither i usually notice the notice before the symbols react in my brain , and usually then whichever are the most prominent in colour and size....if both the same...i would say the Numbers as they are usually seperated from words by spaces either side.....Hope that helps.
