Its amazing to me the ignorance on here, mostly from the liberal side.
Clinton was indeed impeached. He was however acquitted. That doesn't change the fact he was impeached.
Nixon was not impeached. He resigned. To wonder what if is irrelevant. Maybe he would have, maybe he wouldn't have been. At least he was a man and knew he F'd up and disgraced the office. Unlike a certain someone....
In addition...Nixon merely inherited the Vietnam war. Alleging he had troops slaughtered is the height of ignorance. Nixon did more to bring and end to the war than anyone....a war, for the record, that was started by whom???
JFK...a democrat. Continued by and escalated by... Johnson was a WHAT boys and girls...a democrat!
So, if you are going to play in the sandbox of history, get your facts correct.
As far as Billary... she isn't going to get nominated. She has already begun the self destruction. She will get the die hard loony left to vote for her, but she lost the middle of the road democrats when she accepted support from moveon.org and people like the wacky Mayor of San Francisco. That is why her numbers are slowly sliding. People are waking up (the people who matter) and the polls are finally reflecting something other than the far left biased polls, fueled by the far left media types/

Yep.

Hillary wins the election in 2008 and the Democrats claim a slim majority once again. Gas prices come down, the economy immediately improves, the troops come home, and the Republicans have nothing but "character" to run on in the 2010 midterms.

Unfortunately, the people listen and elect a Republican majority in 2010.

And Hillary is impeached in spring 2011.

The Republicans learned their lesson and won't wait until a 2nd term to impeach a Clinton this time.

The Democrats should have impeached Bush when they had the chance. Every time a Democrat is elected, he or she will likely be impeached.

Impeachment, of course, means the trial process. It can lead to being forced out of office if there is a conviction. The Republicans knew they didn't have enough to force that in the 1990's, but they didn't care. We'll have a re-education on impeachment in 2011. Trust me.

Bee read up on history. You obviously don't know sh*t about the Clintons. I am assuming you also think that he was one of the greatest presidents to ever live. Well he can ____ my ____. Oh, wait, he is probably busy with a different woman right now anyway, my mistake.
I do not think Hillary Will get impeached, because mostly, and unfortunately, they are currently and will continue, hiding documents and other sources that hide what bimbos they really are. God forbid that they look bad in a public light. And besides, she will probably call it 'unfair' and sexist because she is a woman. And then the public will pay more attention to the Liberal News Media and think "oh, well she is a woman, so it must be sexist." But this is all providing she gets elected, and I pray that we never have to deal with that sort of person as our leader. If she did she would not do sh*t for the public, she would only do things that would make her look in a better light.

Although the majority of the influential Senators (including Sen. Robert C. Byrd) openly criticized Clinton and lectured against his un-ethical behavior and lies, to include his proven lies under oath, decided to NOT vote for impeachment since the dems were willing to overlook a fellow dems unethical behavior and felony level lying while under oath. Perhaps Hillery can go further faster since she's always attempting to out do her man; Bill is still her man, right?

Well, she would have to do something criminal first. She's had plenty of practice in years past.
Let's hope she doesn't get the chance as president.
Vote Republican!!!!

Note to deckape: Richard Nixon WAS NEVER IMPEACHED. Now, pick up a history book and sit in the corner.

Note to Bee and ndmagicman: An impeachment is a indictment. Clinton was indeed impeached! Just because the Senate did not find him guilty, that doesn't change the fact that he was indeed IMPEACHED by the House!
Jeez....the ignorance you liberals display is astounding!!

Additional note to decktape: Excuse me sir, it was not Richard Nixon who lost Vietnam, it was the Democrats in Congress who lost it. Because of the Watergate hysteria, and after our 1973 departure, the Democrats in Congress REFUSED to appropriate additional funds needed to counter the Norths aggressive behavior and eventual attack on the South. Ignoring their pleas, it was congressional Democrats who turned their backs on our allies in Southeast Asia. Vietnam fell and the ensuing slaughter in not only that country but also Laos and Cambodia is the direct result of the shameful inaction of your beloved Democrats!!
Stop rewriting history. You're lousy at it.

Another note to decktape: Well, I'm glad you're being calm and sensible about this. Thanks for the name calling. Typical of someone who doesn't want to hear the truth.
I was alive and in the military when all this went down. Where were you?

decktape: I respect your brothers for serving. You however are to be pitied. Go ahead and wallow and stew in your hatred for an honorable man (Nixon) who inherited that war from the previous two Democrat presidents. They got us there in the first place. And Nixon did not walk a way scott-free. He was disgraced by a snapping, snarling press and chased from the highest office in the land.
But you sir, as I said, go ahead and fill your mind with hate and rage. You're on your way to a mental breakdown. I'll send flowers.

Are you saying Richard Nixon was not elected or your not old enough to have leaned that part in American history

Or are you trying to say Bill Clinton was the only democratic President, to be found not worthy of impeachment because of dirty sex in the white house

Edit
True Nixon resigned before impeachment and had he not, not only would they have impeached him but would have also sent him to prison, so he ran like a coward and hid in a closet, like a big nose baby, while he allowed our army to be slaughtered. had his mother had an abortion maybe we would have had a man in office.

POLARIS
As the Dumbass you are I was not Fook answering your question and if the President is not the person in charge and should not bare the blame for any actions he executes than why in the hell do we elect one, so when George Bush said God spoke to him and God said for us to attack, we should have laughed and went about our merry way then, so why in the fook are we in Iraq oh because our fooking republican congress told old George they approved.
Well hell there is no sense in holding anyone accountable then, is that what your trying to say.

POLARIS
My brothers went to Vietnam, I watch soldiers get on the train at Fort Polk crying because they were forced to war for the government, my mother opened here hospitality for solders to crash after partying all night before they were transported to the war, I witnessed that sad piece of crap Nixon bow like a coward and walk away a free man while our brothers were getting killed & maimed for no reason, but for the USA government's stupid agenda.

Clinton wasn't actually officially impeached. The House voted to impeach, but the Senate acquitted him of impeachment so it was not an impeachment. Nixon resigns prior to imminent impeachment, and Andrew Johnson was impeached by the House but was acquitted by one vote in the Senate, he took over after Lincoln was assassinated so he was not an elected president.

There have not been any successful impeachments of American Presidents to this date.

You can only be impeached by both the Senate and the House. Both didn't agree. He was impeached by the House of Representatives and acquitted by the Senate. Therefore....he was never impeached. Obviously so...he stayed in office and continued to run the country.

What is for sure is that if she is elected, the soap opera will continue. The special counsel statute expired so I don't think they will be able to impeach her, but Republican re-hashes of Ron Brown's "mysterious" plane crash and Vince Foster's suicide will get mighty tiresome awfully quick.
