if you have to press the clutch in and out a few times to get the trans into gear then you have a problem with a pressure loss in the hydraulic clutch release system.

on your car the clutch is release is engaged through hydraulics in much the same way as your brake system is engaged. You have a clutch master cylinder on the engine wall at the pedal end and a hydraulic line to the slave cylinder at the clutch end.

the first thing to do is to check the fluid level in the master cylinder. Open the hood and look at the back of the engine compartment where you would expect the clutch pedal rod to come through the engine wall. You should see a round cap about 2" in diameter on top of the clutch master cylinder. Check the fluid level. If its low, fill it up with DOT 3 Brake Fluid.

If it is low you have a leak. Most of the time the leak is at the slave cylinder on the transmission end. The slave cylinder operates the clutch fork. Most technicians recommend replacing both the master cylinder and the slave cylinder as a set.

If you don't have a leak (the fluid reservoir is full) then the master cylinder is leaking internally and that's where your pressure loss is. Again, you'll have to replace the clutch master cylinder and its recommended to change the slave cylinder as well.

hope that helps

It's the clutch cable. Take it to your Honda dealer to replace it.

hydrolic(sp) clutch? either needs kit, or just
bleeding.
