I am certainly taxed enough, but I want to see my taxes going towards some common good for the people of the country and not towards coorporate handouts.

I've noticed that those who favor tax rate increases tend to justify that opinion based on an objection to the deficit and the increasing national debt. Well here's the good news: it's not necessary to wait for the federal government to force a tax hike on everyone; it's possible to take a grass-roots approach. Here's what the US Treasury has to say (see this page at their website):
http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/resources/faq/faq_publicdebt.htm
How do you make a contribution to reduce the debt?
Make your check payable to the Bureau of the Public Debt, and in the memo section, notate that it is a Gift to reduce the Debt Held by the Public. Mail your check to:
Attn Dept G
Bureau Of the Public Debt
P. O. Box 2188
Parkersburg, WV 26106-2188
The deficit isn't very large now, so it shouldn't take much of a grass-roots movement to completely eliminate it. (I think my taxes are already high enough, but I'll be keeping my eye on the numbers to see if this movement catches on.)

I received my degree in February after 7 years of school. I got a significant raise because of it. I immediately increased my fed and state. i have now paid more in taxes this year than my entire income when I was 19 (11 years ago). However, after going to a tax estimator web site, I found that I may get about 3/5 back. I'd rather get back at the end of the year than "take it in the back".

I guess if they taxed me more, I wouldn't have to have been pestered with the Christmas shopping or the special meal I am planning for the Christmas dinner. But I would get joy from the uneducated lazy person who is drunk from noon on and breeds like a rabbit has every possible benefit that most working people cannot afford.

I'm not.
I know that if I was taxed another ten to fifteen percent a couple more welfare moms could squeeze out more kids and get more money from the government so they could watch television all day and go out whoring all night.

I know I am. Sometimes, I feel that I am paying more than my fair share. No more taxes. Happy Holidays.

No, I am taxed enough. If you want to pay more then you can donate more of your income voluntarily.
