My straight marriage is not " shaky " as you indicated. ---Many straight people view marriage as more of a commitment between 2 people than just exchanging vows in the same booth in a public toilet ?

Neil, you got me. I have never understood why gay marriage mattered one way or another to any straight person, regardless of political outlook.
And what's with all this "defense of marriage" business? What effect would gay marriage have on straight marriages? If you are happily married - great! Why would a gay person getting married interfere with that?
I think the divorce rate is more shocking that the idea that two people who love each other want to be legally married.
This is just a political wedge issue, used to scare people, and keep them away from the real issues in the election.

What? Man, I am so sick of the "poor me" mentality of some groups of people. You can't get married, so you have to say how straight people's marriages are shaky to begin with.
Well, my marriage is not shaky. It is doing just fine, thank you for your concern though.
Marriage is a religious term, and as most major religions say homosexuality is a sin, a homosexual union should not be called marriage. However, I do think that a civil union or something like that should be possible.
By the way...This is not "Anti-Gay". I don't care what anyone dose in their own bedroom. I just think it is pathetic to define your self solely by your sexuality

I am pro-gay marriages, but the reason I have heard people are against it is because of the tax write-offs and benefits they will get, which will cost more for everyone. I don't know if that is true, that is just what I have heard.

This question is better suited to Ron Paul supporters. So many make threats against people while Ron sits there and smiles. I guess hatred is in the Constitution according to Ron Paul, and his sheep gladly follow.

I guess it gives them a secret thrill to point at the sex lives of others, and makes them feel morally superior.
