Aminda,
I've been going to Old Trafford for many, many years and only once I have I seen any trouble - and that wasn't serious.
I like to post banter (especially about Liverpool) on here but i'd never post anything so serious as stating that Anfield was unsafe if I had no real proof or experience of being there.
You're a young lad who i'm presuming has never been to Manchester so If I could ask you politely to refrain from making similar comments in future about serious issues which you don't understand or have proof of.

Well, Man U has a lot of Internation fans, and for some English fans that is upsetting because, well, everyone should support their local team out of a sense of duty or something, but I'm not English so it really doesn't matter which team yoiu cheer for. I heard in terms of violence Millwall "traditionally" had the "worst" fans...

For a start, there are twice as many fans at a Utd match than at most of the other grounds. So as a percentage, it's not as bad.
And if the figures were taked from a season when Leeds were in the prem, i think they'd probably be twice as bad!

Merry Christmas Aminda.
I am sorry, I think the link you provided is not neutral. Just look at the address and you will know why I said that.
If you are going to cite web references, it is best not to get them from personal blogs because they are not considered definitive and neutral. Go to reputable sites where they give you definitive information.
Peace.

You already got your answer (Smarty gave particularly great one) and I can't add anything else but that I strongly disagree with idea of writing stuff like that without evidence (sorry, but statistics just aren't firm enough).I'd also like to point you that writer of that article you gave us link to is Arsenal fan so it's logical to expect a bit of bias in his writing too.Since you probably haven't read it (not even because it's at bottom of page you directed us to) I'll quote Rich, guy who posted a comment there:
Guys, Firstly you've missed quoted the stats, you've overstated the figures. There are four main points to consider.
1) Police forces have different resources with which to police matches, the police presence at Old Trafford is much higher than at Charlton.
2) As stated earlier the average attendance at old trafford was over 15,00 people per game (thats a quarter of you stadium again - I wouldn't say thats near) so the number of arrests per season would be expect to be higher.
3) The cup stats (which are part of the total) take into account champion league, FA cup and carling cup stats. Man Utd had a longer champions league run (including a fiery encounter with roma that caught the headlines) and longer FA cup run. Arsenal Carling cup run was longer than Man Utds however attendances to watch the second team play in the Carling Cup are much lower.
4) Seeing as this argument was to SAF voicing his concerns regarding safety at arsenal, if you calculate number of supporters per home arrest for arsenal and for man utd you actually see that arsenal have 28,522 supporters per arrest and man utd have 31,108 supporters per arrest. So it seems that arsenal have a worse arrest record at the emirates than man utd do at old trafford.
Out of interest Fulham have the best record with 161,261 supporter per arrest and chelsea have the worst record with 12,580 supporters per arrest.
You have to note that man utd fans have the a worse away arrest record than arsenal as 60% of arsenal's arrests were at home whereas 60% of man utd's arrests were away.
Just my £2, but you have to look into the stats. You can't compare number of arrests of juventus versus rushden and diamonds and all the variations in between. You have to analyze results not just take them at face value.
End of quote.Of course,he knows more than I do,but seems like he also knows more than all the Gunners posting there, all together...So,in conclusion,if you're honest you'll agree your question was...call it dumb.
