Maybe, because they have nothing to do the next day. Like, no work. or, they think 'It's only once a year' So they start drinking :)

Because they have tonnes of "get togethers" and "office christmas parties" and more holidays at this time of the year. Maybe some drink more to forget that they are alone, who knows?

to try to foget how much money they spent or how many credit cards they maxed out lol.. its funny that after we got our bonus friday after our work christmas party, the first thing everyone did was go to the bar. none of us rarely go to the bar together after work or see eachother outside work as a matter of fact lol.
